Baller

As far as vacations go, this one didn't feel like much of a vacation.  This was hard work for an out of shape slug like me.  I wouldn't recommend a trip to Peru to many people; maybe world class athletes, adventure seekers and masochists. The Inca trail was awesome though. 26 miles of stairs... 14000 feet in the air; stairs up, and stairs down. Amazing that people could build that trail out of huge stones in that terrain using no animals or iron tools. The reward of Machu Picchu at the end made it worthwhile.

in case you didn't know where it was on a map.

Just confirming my closet baller status... I took a weekend jaunt down to New Orleans to visit a dear college friend of mine.  She showed me the ropes, and all that is good about the Crescent City.  My itinerary was to eat, drink and listen to jazz.  Check, Check, and Chizzeck.  If you've never been, it's probably not what you expect.  It's got beautiful houses, colorful people, great food, great drinks, and not too humid weather this time of year. And Crawfish! I really fell in love with New Orleans.

closet baller....act 2

A couple of months ago I got a text from my good friend Dan about going to Vegas with him, so naturally I ignored it, as I do with most texts from good friends. I never really had any desire to go to Las Vegas, but I knew eventually my travels would take me there. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse...Free hotel. So I said I would go, and I actually got pretty excited about it. I got the scoop of things to do from trusted friends and made the most of the trip. It was a lot better than I expected and a lot less crazy than I expected. The snaps above are a pretty good synopsis of the trip.

Closet Baller.

I haven't been on a real vacation in probably 8 years. My time has come. I'm getting out of the country. This time next week I'll be sitting on a beach in the Canary Islands surrounded by beautiful femininas (hopefully). I'm a God Damned Baller. And judging by the weather, it looks like the rain in Spain does lie mainly on the plain.
